Spiritual Uses: None identified to date.

Physical Uses: One of the oldest living species on the planet.

An extract is used to improve the circulation, improving the flow of blood to the brain and the extremities. Because of this, it is considered to be effective against the symptoms of premature aging such as short-term memory loss, dizziness, depression, and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).

Also believed to be an anti-oxidant.
